If so, this organization is for you!

In order to be eligible to participate in the Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Competition or Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen Program, you must first win a local competition. Local competitions such as Miss Butler County and Miss Butler County’s Outstanding Teen Competition serve as preliminaries to Miss Pennsylvania

The Competitions:

Miss Competition

For Women Aged 17-25

  • Be between the ages of 17 and 25
  • Be a US citizen Work, live, or go to school in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization
  • Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements
  • Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities

Outstanding Teen Competition

For Women Aged 13-18

  • Be at least 13 years of age on the first day of the Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen Competition.
  • Not be older than 17 years of age as of July 31 in the calendar year of the Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen Competition, unless you are 18 years old and have not graduated from high school as of July 31 in the calendar year of the Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen Competition; in other words, 13-17 year old high school graduates, as well as 18-year-old non-graduates as of July 31, must compete at MAO Teen level.
  • Be a Pennsylvania resident 6 months prior to the date of your first competition, or have been a full-time student for one semester in a PA high school, junior high, or middle school prior to your first competition; you must be enrolled in an accredited public, private, or home schooling program.
